19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev claimed his maiden title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a former number one, has endured a challenging year, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in specific - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and finally splitting with long-term trainer Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface after March of the previous year.
The win also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
His counter-punching strategy and recurring reactions on court had prompted commentators to question if his ability to perform at the top level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete assertively, supported by an enhanced service.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
The pair traded service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his initial ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to create a decider.
He defended four early-game break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he earned victory with a point at the net area, with Moutet failing to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
