The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in power within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

First, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—used the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires retribution.
  • The adventurer knows the region and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as key figures in the influential clan could enable the group access places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to round up the Explorers and Planners tables.

Audiences can anticipate learning which players will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
